It's been 10 years since Gabriela Sotomayor Valdivieso of Loja, Ecuador came to spend a year with us as an AFS student. She was back this past week for a long overdue reunion! We spent 7 days remembering our adventures of 2001/2002 and catching up face to face rather than via facebook. Her laugh remains contagious and her warm heart still fills every room she enters...no longer a teenager but a beautiful, accomplished, young woman. It wasn't easy to fit in all her favorite recipes, restaurants, and people in 1 week but we gave it our best effort...
