When Mother Nature sets her mind on a rainy, rainy, rainy spring in the midwest, the farmers must abide. When she decided to allow us two or three consecutive days without checking the rain gauge in the past few weeks Alan, Stan, and Danny put in many long days to get the corn and beans in the ground. They are a fine-tuned team with more than 30 years of experience farming together. The final round through the field with the planter was Tuesday, just before noon.
Their wives were happy to spend Tuesday evening with them.
