Read this Book, Please!

I know there are lists of books we have read recently in the margin of this blog.  However, I can't just list this one.  I have just finished reading "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society."  It's one of those books that has you spending the spare moments throughout your day thinking of the characters and leaves you longing for more when you have flipped over the last page.  The story is set in the years just following World War II and the German occupation of the Channel Island of Guernsey in the English Channel.  A London based author seeking her next inspiration, finds it when she receives a letter from a reader in Guernsey and begins corresponding with him and other members of "the society."  That's all I will tell you.  Treat yourself to this book!  It left me wishing for a trip to Guernsey.
